         March 1975, Northville Township Police show evidence confiscated from a house that was running an illegal chop shop on Beck Road.            Photos showing plaques placed on the grounds. One honoring the school founders that was most likely located somewhere along the Main Entrance.

          Another one commemorating the service of Dr. Haskell's 25 years as superintendant. The one for Dr. Haskell was placed on the Administration Building. It was renamed the "Haskell Adminstration Building" in his honor.

          Many years later the building is damaged and left open to the elements. Even stripped of its "arts and crafts" lighting fixtures.

The Assembly Building

          Offically refered to as the "Thayer Auditorium Building" this structure was used for large gatherings presentations and plays. The basement incuded a two lane bowling alley and pool tables. It also had a large balcony, ticket window and a projection booth. The lobby had stars painted on the ceiling. For more on the Assembly Hall Click Or Tap Here.

           The origional 16 cottages were designed by Marcus R. Burrowes. All having a similar design. Built in teh "Arts and Crafts" style of the 1920's.
