Adminstration Building

School Adminstration and Records

Marcus Burrowes

The center of operations for the Wayne County Training School. A long winding driveway led up to the front. School records were kept here. A large skylight on the second floor allowed natural light into the building. In 1956 when Dr. Haskell retired the building was renamed the "Robert H. Haskell Adminstration Building". A plaque commemorating this was installed on or near the building at that time.

In the July 1979 issue of Perspectives, the in house publication of the Plymouth Center for Human Development, Elizabeth Ring had written about being given custody of the Wayne County Training Schools Historic collection of books and records. Records not rescued were lost to fire and neglect.
