Dr. Buoniconto came to the WCTS in 1956. He was previously at the Deleware Colony and before that was Chief Surgeon the the infamous Danvers State Hospital and Worcester State Hopsital as Senior Physician. He ended his carear as the second and final superintendent of the WCTS. He lived on the school grounds with his family. He was reported to have called for the school evenual closing in the early 1970's. We have a large collection of his personal items through out the site. His Nephew, Bob Cummings has been a supporter of our efforts. All the annual reports on the site as well as the forms, and countless family photos were contributed by Mr. Cummings.

Dr. Buoniconto (right) Presenting a plaque. Paul Haupricht child care director, Mrs. Jennie Pesick President of the girls club, Mrs. Mary Ann Marsh past president of the girls club & Dr. Pasquale Buoniconto. The plaque was presented to the girls club after they completely furnished a special counseling room at the school. The room was used for advising resident girls.
