Clinical Directors House

The Clinical Directors House was part of the early construction. None of the staff homes are on the 1926 map. We took the name from the 1970 map. The grouping of homes was serperated from the main campus by trees and a small creek. This was a stately home considered quite opulent but not as much as the Superintentants home. Thee were built during a prosperous time in Wayne Counties history. The start of the great depression a few years later would bring all this under scrutiny. There was a tunnel that ended outside of the home but had no direct entrance. heating was supplied by the powerhouse. The rural location of the school demanded housing for staff.
